Why a local editor
Online markdown editors upload every keystroke to a server. This one renders in your browser with a small, dependency-free parser — draft release notes, READMEs, docs or forum posts privately, then export the HTML for wherever you're publishing.
Word count counts words (not characters); the preview scrolls independently so you can edit a long doc while watching a specific section. For formatting-heavy work, pair with the Markdown Table Generator CSV to Markdown HTML Preview to test the generated markup in a real page context.
